Aziraphale can’t get wet, you fools. He walks on water. Rain literally slides right off of him. Crowley sinks, so Aziraphale covering him with his wing in Eden was much more than just polite, it was like a silent statement of “I know to be cold and wet is part of your punishment as one of the Fallen, but that just seems so unnecessary so I’ll keep you dry anyway.” That shit was straight up rebellious, Aziraphale is thoughtlessly kind in the most blasphemous way, it’s no wonder Crowley fell in love with him. In a weird way, being good is part of what makes Aziraphale a bastard.
